Equipe Furacão 2000 - Inicio
Teve início após a fusão de duas equipes de som na década de 70: a Som 2000, de Rômulo Costa e a Guarani 2000, de Gilberto Guarani. Inicialmente realizava bailes de soul e funk.
Origem do nome
Um história diz que o nome Furacão 2000 veio quando o ex-presidente da república, Humberto Castelo Branco ao ouvir o som das duas equipes em Petrópolis - RJ fez o seguinte comentário: "Isto não é Som 2000, nem Guarani, é um furacão!"
